Jeet Kune Do Punch Challenge

Hello all teachers, students, friends , and supporters of Pear Tree Self Defense Center. We are still having virtual ZOOM classes due to the Omicron variant of Covid-19, so I am issuing new challenges every month to supplement our training.

In December, we did the Bruce Lee 10,000 kicks challenge where we did 1000 kicks a day for ten days. January had us doing the Bruce Lee flexibility challenge to where we decided to keep these flexibility exercises in our daily warm ups.

February is the 28,000 punch challenge. 1000 punches daily in the 28 days of February.

These challenges are meant to keep us active during this time of shut down and to keep us all in a group setting so that we can and will continue training. We have lost only a few students during this time, but the majority of them are still training and still part of Pear Tree.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. The positive test results of Omicron are steadily coming down. At it's height, it was 26.6% positive. It has fallen to 18.3% as of 2/3/22 and I hope it keeps on the decline. When it reaches 10%, we will come back to in person classes with masks. When it hits 5%, we'll go without masks. So, we all look forward to getting back to in person training real soon.
